General Information
Allendale Parish Council is made up of thirteen councillors, each elected on a four year term of office. The Chairman and Vice Chairman are elected annually at the AGM in May. The Parish Council employs three part time staff comprising the clerk, cemetery groundsman and the village and recreation groundsman. The Parish Council is financed by precept, which is levied with the council tax. Regular meetings take place on the first Thursday in every month and are usually held at 7pm in Allendale Village Hall. Members of the public are invited to attend these meetings, and there is a slot at the beginning of each meeting when the public are able to speak and raise issues of concern.
